Summary [ ]
Carbon (C) is a resource used in recharging and one of the fuel elements for refining.
Game description [ ]
The building block of all organic life. Of critical importance to space travelers, as Carbon is used to recharge mining equipment.
The Mining Laser will harvest Carbon from trees, plants, and all other forms of vegetation.

- It can be found as a secondary element in some minerals.
Carbon can be refined using a Refiner with the following ingredients:
Exploit [ ]
Once the player has a Portable Refiner and Medium Refiner/Large Refiner, they can produce Carbon and Condensed Carbon for free.
This can also be done with only a Portable Refiner, but with less yield.
- Refine 68 Carbon in Medium Refiner/Large Refiner to produce 34 Condensed Carbon.
- Place down the Portable Refiner and recharge its Fuel Inverter with the 34 Condensed Carbon.
- Pick up the Portable Refiner to receive 100 Carbon.
- Repeat steps 1 to 3, to produce 32 Carbon per cycle.
Exploit 2 [ ]
- Get a Freighter (you get a free one from the story; they're all the same inside excluding the one page of inventory.)
- Place as many Standing Planters as you want in your freighter. Requires two Metal Plates and 25 Condensed Carbon per planter. (They refresh with new carbon every time your freighter base loads.)
- Walk into the base area of your freighter and collect carbon. One planter yields 62-120 Carbon.
- Walk into the hanger area hallway and immediately turn around to go back into the base area.
- Repeat steps 3-4. All the Carbon will be refreshed letting you harvest it again in seconds.
